You’ll find us at Eastern Market Shed 5 Parking Lot, Table 551

This event is FREE and open to the GENERAL PUBLIC.

The Detroit Festival of Books is the largest book festival in the State of Michigan, with vendors from all over the USA, Canada and other countries. It is a goodwill effort to help generate a deeper love and appreciation of books.

This event is indoor/outdoor, rain or shine.

Gail will read from Into the Thicket, answer questions from young readers and sell/sign her new picture book

Join us at Booksweet for a special Kids’ Summer Reading Program event. Gail will read from her new picture book, Into the Thicket, answer questions from young readers, and sign copies of the book. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

Booksweet is a cozy, welcoming neighborhood bookstore located near U-M’s North Campus in the Courtyard Shops. The space is wheelchair accessible, with free parking, bike racks, and easy access via AAATA bus routes 23 and 65.

Author Table & Book Signing at Adventure, Ink – Milan

Milan, Michigan

As part of Milan’s In Full Bloom & Book Hop celebration, Gail hosted a special author table at Adventure, Ink—a welcoming local hub for comics, books, and games. Visitors stopped by to chat, purchase signed copies of How Happy Is a Lark?, and get a sneak peek at her upcoming picture book, Into the Thicket.

Literacy Night at St. Fabian Catholic School – Farmington Hills

Gail participated in Literacy Night at St. Fabian Catholic School, where she held three engaging story times in a cozy classroom setting. Children arrived in pajamas for the evening event, adding to the fun and relaxed atmosphere. Some wiggly listeners kept things lively, while others sat wide-eyed, absorbing every word of How Happy Is a Lark?

Gail also shared postcards featuring both Lark and her upcoming book Into the Thicket, signed copies for families, and offered encouragement to aspiring writers in attendance.
